A technique in improving drawing skills is to just keep drawing - whenever you can. It encourages creativity and is often therapeutic. If you are looking to spark a fire for art, the last thing to think about is making it perfect. There is no such thing! Focus on your intentions and the fact that you are even doing it at all, because that in itself is an accomplishment.

Art is truly up to your interpretation. If you hold yourself under the bounds of what someone else thinks is perfect, then art may feel like a job. When in reality, art is beauty.
