Step 1
Start by cutting off the tops of your peppers and scooping out the insides so they look beautiful like this! Next, I put then in a pot of boiling water for 5 minutes just to soften them a bit.
Step 2
Start cooking your long grain rice (I used basmati) per the package instructions!
Step 3
Heat up some oil in a pan and start cooking the ground beef on medium high heat until there is no more pink. You’ll need to keep draining out the fat with a paper towel. Once all pink is gone, empty onto a paper towel lined plate to drain any excess fat.
Step 4
In the same pot that you cooked your meat, add in oil and an entire chopped yellow onion and sauté until soft. Then add in a few cloves of garlic and spices of your choice.
Step 5
Once onions are soft and rice is cooked, combine meat, rice and onions together in your pot. Add in a can of tomato sauce and a can of diced tomatoes and more spices of your choice to taste!
Step 6
Stuff your peppers with the mixture and top with a bit more sauce and spices. Bake in a 350 degree oven for around 45 minutes!
Step 7
Enjoy! Bon appetit🤤
