<p>To kick off the new year, I got to spend quality time with my wife and baby Asher. Since we were still in the middle of the pandemic and had a 2 month old son, we decided to hang low and have a nice dinner just us. It was perfect 🥂</p>

<p>It was my first cooked meal of 2021 and my last. Sorry babe, you know I can but you are just way better at it! Plus, I hate the mess I make when I cook…soddyy. </p>

<p>At the start of February, we took off to Tulum for <a href="magma://users/BaGix6Uj7sSFaFE1XS8EwsPuL9f2">@NateWeiz</a> ￼ Bachelor party. It was such an awesome trip despite the Covid regulations and curfew that was enforced. It only put a dent on the night activities but during the day we were free!</p>

<p>May &amp; June were jammed pack with events and weddings. It was such an incredible time but rough on the body. </p>

<h1><strong>A red pill for the soul</strong></h1>
<p>First I want to state that I am not an expert, I practice lucid dreaming out of fun and because there’s nothing quite like it. Gaining awareness in a dream is an exciting experience, most of the time it’s brief with the sudden rush of adrenaline waking you up. What if you can learn to lucid dream, stabilize the experience so you can take more of it in? What if there was nothing more than a few simple steps to master, no drugs needed? Would you want to learn?</p>

<h1><strong>Relax</strong></h1>
<p>The first step is to relax, quiet the mind, tame your anxiety and unfocus. You want to start by laying flat on your back, don’t tense up, relax. You will experience some interesting sensations and urges, mostly the urge to scratch, move, swallow spit, cross your legs and muscle spasms as your body relaxes. The solution is easy, ignore them all and stay relaxed, the swallowing spit part isn’t as easy but if you press your tongue gently onto the roof of your mouth it’ll fix this problem. If you can hear your heart beat turn your head slightly to the right and muffle your right ear, this works for me, maybe the left side works for you.</p>
<h1><strong>Ritual</strong></h1>
<p>Make lucid dreaming a ritual full of sleep triggers your mind will pick up on with practice, this will become an autopilot of some sorts later on, don’t skip it. For me it’s simple, I do all of the above. </p>
<h1><strong>Falling</strong></h1>
<p>This one is overlooked but beneficial, the sensation of falling while asleep and jolting you awake is a key training tool. This falling sensation happens with sleep paralysis, and that’s where the key to lucid dreaming and out of body experiences lie. For now let’s practice falling. Do the above steps to reach a point where your body tricks your mind into believeing you’re asleep, if you do those steps right you will have unfocused thoughts, muscle spasms and the feeling of a heavy weighted blanket being placed on you. The pressure of the weight feels uncomfortable, your breathing will be erratic and adrenaline will win. If you’re lucky you might black out for a second and have a really vivid/lucid experience. Stick to practicing this whatever time of the day you can except right before sleep.</p>
<h1><strong>Eyes</strong></h1>
<p>You need to train your eyes to focus behind your eyelids, it should be relaxed and of into the distance. This will strain your eyes, but like any other muscle, working them makes them stronger. Keep your eyes still and quiet in a relaxed position do not force them into any position, just adjust the focus. </p>

<p>Welcome to <a href="https://apps.apple.com/us/app/magma/id1325767750">Magma</a> . Our goal is to provide the easiest and most powerful way to publish anything. Blogs, travel itineraries, news articles, look books and more can be created and published in minutes. Once published these MAGS can be shared literally anywhere with the tap of a button. If someone interacts with the MAG’S link it will open that Mag on any device and within any platform. Let’s say you tweeted a Mag showcasing your favorite pasta recipe. If someone were to click that tweet without having the Magma app, it would open the Mag within Twitter’s browser. If they had the app, it would prompt the Mag to open within Magma. This way you can focus more on delivering beautiful content to where your audience already exists rather than trying to guide them to a new destination.</p>

<h1>The Profile</h1>
<p>All of your Mags &amp; Social in one place.</p>
<p>In your settings from your profile you can easily add a profile picture, a background, write a caption and add links to all of your other channels. By easily adding your username for Instagram, Twitter and YouTube, a badge will appear on your profile that opens your other profiles up, right in the Magma app! By adding a website url, an icon will appear alongside your social ones that will direct users straight to the page. </p>
<p>On your Magma profile you will see a number of different tabs. </p>
<p><strong>MAGS</strong>: This is your content. Everything you publish will go here</p>
<p><strong>STACK</strong>: If you save a Mag you love to your stack, it will appear here for your audience to read as well. Mags you save to your private stack will appear only for your eyes with a lock icon on the cover.</p>
<p><strong>PRIVATE</strong>: These are your Mags that are hidden unless you share a link with someone.</p>
<p><strong>DRAFTS</strong>: Your masterpieces that have yet to be published or are currently being created but are not yet ready. </p>
<p>The beauty of your Magma profile is it’s versatility to be present anywhere. By pasting your profile link anywhere, it’s a portal for any viewer to see all of your content from a single place, while highlighting your most powerful posts, your Mags.</p>

<h1>Creating a Mag.</h1>
<p>Although it can be daunting at first, designing and publishing a Mag is super easy. </p>
<p>It’s best to start with a concept in mind of what you want your readers to get out of your Mag. Your cover is your Mag’s “first impression”. It’s the most captivating image from your story, the best title and any other hints you’d like readers to know before they open it.</p>
<p>A cover can be designed from scratch or you can use a cover template as inspiration and fill in the template with your own content.</p>

<p>Just like a cover, the rest of your Mag has templates as well. They are broken down into three categories. Master, article and gallery and are useful for different content or to be combined to form a great published work.</p>
<p>Master templates are essentially covers within a mag. Think of it as an intro into a single page or article within your Mag. </p>
<p>If you want something visual, gallery templates are a great way to keep the writing down and let photos and videos tell your story. </p>
<p>If a written narrative is important, article templates are the way to go. They offer text boxes as well a media boxes. For reference, this page is an article template.</p>
<p>Once your Mag is ready for publishing your almost there. Adding a simple yet informative caption is vital as this will become the Mag’s URL. Those key words ultimately help your Mag gain SEO with sites like google. You can even add a location to help your Mag be discovered based on people searching for that location.</p>
<p>Next select up to 4 genres that best represent what your Mag is about. This allows others searching for specific content to discover your Mag. </p>
<p>Finally select the privacy of your Mag. If you want the maximum discoverability both on and off Magma, public is the way to go. If you only want those who subscribe to you to be able to read the Mag, select “subscribers only”. If your Mag is for your eyes only or only for those you choose to see it, select private.</p>

<h1>Sharing your Mags.</h1>
<p>Once your Mag is published, you can share it anywhere. We’re serious. </p>
<p>Literally anywhere a link can be pasted, your Mag can be shared and read, even within Other platforms browsers. If you were to hit the link for this Mag within an Instagram story swipe up, you would be viewing this within Instagram. We know, it’s pretty awesome.</p>

<p><em>Dubai is the hottest place right now, all influencers are going there to have a good time, create content in their Instagram profiles and sometimes they even move in.</em></p>
<p><em> With dylan my fiance we went there for work and for the holidays we met a lot of workers, we saw Dubai in two different ways. </em></p>

<p><em>Personally, I didn't expect that at all when I came to Dubai. I thought it was a small town where you could walk around, get from one place to another without having to walk for hours or take cabs every times.</em></p>
<p><em> A tip renting a car !</em></p>
<p><em>Dubai is a gigantic city, there are highways everywhere, roads, buildings, constructions ...</em></p>
<p><em> It almost seems that the city was created around roads and highways.</em></p>
<p><em> So we had to take taxis every day to go from one place to another because we don't have a license lol</em></p>
<p><em>To go from one place to another it takes about 25 minutes by car, good point taxis are not very expensive </em>😊</p>

<p><em>Contrary to popular belief, not everyone in dubai is rich and not everyone lives in luxury.</em></p>
<p><em> There are a lot of workers who earn really very low wages and who live together in small apartments.</em></p>
<p><em> We call them labour camps ...</em></p>
<p><em> In these places several people live in communities in very small area they are between 4 and 7 people in a room.</em></p>

<p><em>There are also several families who live in the same "apartment" if you can call it apartments ...</em></p>
<p><em> They share the showers, the toilets, and the kitchen, no privacy is possible.</em></p>

<p><em>The people who live there are the workers of dubai, those without whom dubai would never have been built so quickly, those who sometimes work 20 hours in a row and 7 days a week those who receive a more than deplorable salary, and especially those who do not really have the right to speak and are deprived of all freedoms.</em></p>

<p><em>These people come from all over the world (India, Nepal, Cameroon, Syria, Sudan ....)</em></p>
<p><em> so they can work and send money to their families, which most of them haven't seen in over a year.</em></p>
<p><em> So yes maybe he earns a little more than in their country but is it really worth it ? </em></p>
<p><em>For most of these people, the companies that employ them take their passports away once they start working.</em></p>

<p><em>Dylan and I had the chance to speak with some of them (cooks, taxi drivers, people who work in building construction ..)</em></p>
<p><em> I really felt pain, real injustice and enormous inequalities.</em></p>
<p><em> How in one place there can be such a big difference in lifestyle.</em></p>
<p><em>We met a worker who explained to us that to eat he had to travel 1:30 to 2 hours to be able to buy a sandwich.</em></p>
<p><em> So why so far?</em></p>
<p><em> Quite simply because the food is a little cheaper down there.</em></p>

<p><em>From our hotel we plane saw her on a construction site, in the evening and at night there were buses that came to pick up workers for them.</em></p>

<p><em> To get on the bus he had to line up 1 by 1 and wait for the person at the end of the site to call out their names.</em></p>

<p>This was a special night. We held a pregame with our guy friends and our neighbors. We all went downtown together as a house and had a blast. And probably one too many tequila drinks 🙈</p>

<p>Obvvvviouslyyyy the next morning we went for a dank, Santa Barbara hungover breakfast. I can assume we spent the rest of the day on our extremely comfortable couch :)</p>

  <h1>Last weekend before lockdown!</h1>
I spent the last weekend before going into lockdown with my best friends in Newport Beach. We were able to go to restaurants &amp; bars which now sounds like an absolute dream. We also spent our Saturday afternoon on a Duffy boat!

<h1>Quarantine in Isla Vista</h1>
<p>Our quarantine consisted of several long walks, indoor workouts, a LOT of cooking, little to no homework (spring quarter seniors), us time and of course many, many sunsets. Isla Vista is one of my favorite places in the world and I am so lucky to have been able to spend the first three months of quarantine in my favorite place!</p>

<h1>UCSB graduation 💙💛</h1>
<p>I did a thing in 2020! Many people do not know that I was a horrible high school student. I only cared about my social life &amp; about Dance Company, def not my grades. This is why I started my college career at SBCC; because I simply didn’t have another option. I worked my ass off academically for the first time at SBCC and after two and a half years spent there, I transferred to one of the most prestigious universities. Wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. I had the time of my life in SB, and I am truly grateful!</p>

<h1>Moved back to LA!</h1>
<p>I moved back to LA in June for good after five years being in SB. Of course one of the first things I did was a picnic at the bluffs with my friends (some not pictured)! So beyond lucky to call these ladies my forever friends ❤️</p>

<h1>Interned at SET ACTIVE</h1>
<p>Again, if you know me you know I am OBSESSED with SET! I am friends with the CEO and was presented with an amazing opportunity to be the summer intern. I had the best time and learned soooooo much. Also got to add to my SET collection. Fun fact: I have a section in my closet juuust for my SETs!</p>

<h1>Traveled to Big Bear!</h1>
<p>One of my closest friends turned 25 in July! We went to Big Bear (covid cautious of course) to celebrate all together. A lot of yummy food, tequila, lake time and more. It was so nice to be able to get out of LA for the weekend and be together.</p>

<h1>Celebrated many big bdays!</h1>
<p>This year Brittany turned 30, dad turned 60, McCall turned 28, I turned 23, the twins turned 14 (scary) and Ali turned 50! Big bdayssss for sure! We had intimate celebrations at my Dad’s with all of our favorite foods: Jon and Vinnys (duh), Taeem, Don Antonio’s, Izakaya, Prime pizza and more. Us BRONSONS love our food! Baskin Robbins for dessert, always!!!</p>

<h1>CHAMPS 💜💛💜💛￼</h1>
<p>After a crazyyy year and of course mourning the loss of Laker legend Kobe Bryant, the Lakers came together and brought home the 2020 championship ring. I was raised to be a diehard Laker fan, so this was particularly special for everyone in the Bronson household. We did it for KB!</p>

<h1>Let’s go 2021!</h1>
<p>We all know 2020 was a year we will never forget. Despite the several tragedies, I am grateful for the many lessons I learned and for everything I have accomplished thus far! In the final month of 2020, I: broke my foot, landed my dream job AND got my first apartment in LA with my cousin/bff. So I say it ended on a pretty high note. Looking forward to everything to come in 2021. This wouldn’t be proper without me saying LET’S FUCKING GO</p>

<h1><strong>2020.</strong></h1>
<p>••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••</p>
<p>I’m not much of a writer. I’ve enjoyed it throughout my scholastic career as a challenge to my own struggling attention span, but I’ve found my story telling solitude via other outlets. Photos and designs were always more my speed, allowing for my thoughts to express themselves in their rawest form, no spell checking or formalities required. This passion for media and an awkward relationship with literature has ironically brought us here. </p>
<p>2020 was the year of Magma for me. The product you’re reading this on was once a simple idea in my head. Brewing into a tangible plan that my team and I focused on for the last 2 and a half years. With plans to fully lunch and dominate in 2020, we put everything on the line and in one basket. With the unfortunate change in landscapes for our industry and every other, we were faced with challenges and feats that were not in the initial instruction manual for starting this company. </p>
<p>With that we pushed forward. </p>
<p>We made due with what we had for every challenge the economy and market threw at us. Every janky, duct taped solution we implemented was treated as if it were iron clad. Every relationship, even those that were near non existent, was viewed as life long and essential. We took what we had and made what we were. In the eyes of most that might be viewed as “surviving”. I look at it as Thriving. Without the proper outlook something so important to myself, my partner, team and investors would have evaporated into a pile of things to be written off during this year.</p>
<p> Thankfully that’s not the case. At Magma we intend to use the substances of 2020 as fuel for the machine we’re driving. Taking from it the criticism, praise and content and immediately turning it into tangible progress. </p>
<p>This platform was built for YOU. Whatever you make of it to benefit YOURSELF was and will always be our mission. From day 1 I’ve always viewed this product as something that will compliment whatever the user utilizes on a daily basis. I have never felt the need to “disrupt” or challenge others in our space for fear of limiting our opportunities and burning bridges to our success. And so far I could not be more proud of what Magma has become. </p>
<p>With thousands of Mags published from over 50 countries, I have read some truly amazing stories. Some short and sweet, some visually heavy and others perfectly imperfect. Every single one of them has brought a smile to my face and pride to my team.</p>
<p>If there is anything to be taken from this ramble it’s that among the craziness we are all capable of powering through. It’s sometimes the sketchy, far fetched solutions that unfold into the most robust of plans. This year was the missing piece to our education of life and everyone had a different yet equally important textbook. Don’t let anyone or anything get in the way of your mission as there is nothing more important. Who knows what next year will look like. For better or worse Magma isn’t slowing down anytime soon. We’re behind our users and community 110% and will always come second to their needs. <h1><strong>Meet</strong> <strong>Amelie</strong> </h1>
<p>My name is Amélie, I'm from Biarritz, France and I'm 24.</p>
<p>I'm a Product Owner Junior, which is kind of a Technical Project Manager 2.0. I'm also a passionate photographer, videographer and content creator</p>

<h1>How is creative expression helping you during this current time?</h1>
<p>For me, my creative expression has been exponentially increasing during this current time. I've been living (stuck) in Los Angeles for 3 months now and honestly it has been a challenging but wonderful time.</p>

<p>I'm a skater girl and I'm quarantined in a skate house with 10 of the best skaters I know. Beside being 10 amazing skaters they're also amazing human beings and most of all inspiring people. I've also been finding myself again during this current time, going through a lot of emotions. So I guess this is where my daily inspiration, no medium of choice, just living and observing everything</p>

<h1>Meet Basti</h1>
<p>My name is Basti Hansen and I am an internationally published Adventure Filmmaker &amp; Photographer based in Tel Aviv, Israel and Cologne, Germany. Since 2014 I work with clients like Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, IQOS, Universal Music and Tourism Boards all over the globe to create emotionally driven, commercial and lifestyle-films and photographs</p>

<h1>How is creative expression helping you during this time?</h1>
<p>I think especially in times like these creativity can be a helpful outlet to gain perspective and to see things for what they are. Being limited in how we’re able to create something can be a catalyst and can make you come up with ideas you wouldn’t have had before in an “unlimited” setting.</p>

<p>For me personally it’s a time of re-evaluation and self-reflection. It’s a time to breathe and to clarify long term goals once again - in the hectic day to day routine these things fall often too short and you just execute. Clarifying your trajectory is gold so I try to focus on that for the time being and some projects that are in pre-production for the end of the year. In general I try to keep my days very structured and also to fill the down time with things around my creative business that always took second place in priority. For example I created a huge overarching database with all jobs, clients, agencies and crews I worked with in the last 6 years - which was tons of work. Now that it’s done this database can be filtered in all sorts of ways - giving me a lot of insights about my business that I didn’t have before - enabling me to make more strategic decisions etc. So it’s stuff like that, that I finally have time to do :) The goal is to not let your head down and frown about lost projects etc but to face what is happening right now, to accept it and to be prepared when economies around the world start back up again.</p>

<p>I usually gain inspiration and ideas from films and also lot from music. For me it’s about little mood cues that I pick up and that transform into whole worlds in my head. So I am trying to spend a lot of time consuming content from other creators out there, wether that’s big studio films or small things on Instagram etc</p>

<p>My name is Alexis and I hail from Toronto, Ontario. As Drake has dubbed it ’The 6"</p>
<p>I chose a selfie for my self-portrait — no makeup, no filter, no edits — because this is how I have been looking everyday in the quarantine and I don’t want to pretend otherwise.</p>

<h1>How is creative expression helping you during this current time?</h1>
<p>My creative expression has been kind of like a wave during this time, I can go from being super creative and motivated and want to write Mags and express myself to not doing anything. I feel like many people feel this way, this is an insane time and we all have to take each day as it comes. </p>

<p>I get most of my inspiration from those around me, living each day in a busy city although that is not really the case currently. Instead during the Q I have been watching tons of movies, movies that I have always wanted to watch but never have had the time (I have got lots of it now!) So majority of my mags lately have been about that, and I love sharing what I am watching on Instagram. I feel like Instagram allows me to connect to my friends who I am not able to see right now, and maybe bring some joy to my followers to watch a good movie. </p>

<h1>Meet Parker</h1>
<p>I'm Parker Schmidt, I'm an Idahoan raised producer and director currently living in Berlin. My roots come from an adrenaline rich action sports community with a family deeply rooted in film and design. I've taken my love for travel and curiosity for storytelling into my own hands and have been able to work with some astounding creatives. While I'm currently creating story told visuals of the art, design, fashion, sport and automotive scenes. And loving every step along the way.</p>

</p>
<p>It's now more important than ever to adapt to our ever-changing situation. Something that I believe creative struggles with is blindly charging into their passion without concern for their mental wellbeing. This has been an issue for me in the past and something that I continue catching myself doing. This is the time to pick up interests that you've never had the time for and invest in yourself</p>

<p>This has been an opportunity to indulge in the crafts and interests that I admire but can finally make the time for. For me, it's keeping my creativity flowing while practicing first-hand mediums such as collaging, digging through my dad's Hollywood archives and becoming a mediocre fanatic for cooking and baking.</p>

<h1>Meet Rosanne</h1>
<p>Hi I’m Rosanne Steeneken. I'm an adventure &amp; extreme sports enthusiast. Driving &amp; skateboarding with cameras.</p>
<p>Based in Vinkeveen, The Netherlands but spending most of my time in Passavant La Rochere, France.</p>

<h1>How is creative expression helping you during this time?</h1>
<p>On March 24th I landed back in Paris, France after having some adrenaline raising weeks in Los Angeles. Thanks to my airline, Ambassade, and friends over in L.A. I was able to avoid being locked up on the other side of the pond.</p>

<p>Creativity and skateboarding are doing a lot in dealing with the anxiety of everything that happened and still being away from my family. Luckily I'm staying with my boyfriend and his father in a beautiful house in a tiny town called Passavant La Rochere. This is the definition of ''The middle of nowhere''. Spending most of our time outdoors on the property. Here we create our thoughts and ideas into touchable adjustments alining whatever mother nature and time throws at us.</p>

  <h1>Where I find inspiration:</h1>
</p>
<p>Being predictable I, of course, get a part of my inspiration from Pinterest, Instagram, and other apps. Basically seeing what other creatives came up with and adjusting to my own style.</p>

<p>However, in these times I learned to stop, look and soak up all these new things around me that were there all this time. The dad of my boyfriend collected an extreme amount of art and objects from all over this globe that create such an inspiration rich ambient everywhere I go in this house. Appreciating that nobody can take the inspiration from that for modern content made me realize that we all have to learn to appreciate the ups in all these downtimes. I love to see how creative everyone is getting with what is so close to them.</p>

<h1>Meet <strong>Maria</strong> </h1>
<p>Maria came into the world of new media not as an outsider, but as an early adopter. Her love for storytelling led her to blogging and YouTube in their early years, while also studying journalism in its most transformative era at Loyola University Chicago. Little did she know, her online activity would open new opportunities, launching a career in broadcast television and sparking a lifelong intrigue with digital storytelling. </p>
<p>Maria has been researching the intersection of culture, entertainment and technology for over 5 years. Maria has her master's degree in Strategic Public Relations from USC Annenberg. Her research in graduate school focused on new media and the influencer culture. She produced the documentary New Kings: The Power of Online Influencers. </p>
<p>Currently, Maria serves as Comm. and Marketing at Open Influence. </p>

<h1>How is creative expression helping you during this current time?</h1>
<p>When you are stuck inside and are feeling all the possible emotions...  Creative expression is literally a survival kit.</p>

<p>I’ve always felt like I have a better handle on my emotions if I get it all out. This quarantine I’ve had my creative juices flowing through art, writing, music, and content creation (IG stories, TikToks and Magma Mags). I really enjoy expressing my unique voice and connecting with like-minded people. </p>
<p>This unprecedented situation has fueled my creativity. I have more time in my hands to be present and fill the hours with artistic expression. </p>

<p>Hi! My name is Fran (@franstar on Magma) and I’m a visual manager &amp; style ambassador from Vancouver, BC Canada. I collect sneakers and I’m a huge fan of streetwear fashion and street art!</p>

<h1>How is creative expression helping you during this current time?</h1>
<p>With the current situation the world is in, creative expression has really helped me stay busy during this time.  Creating content is something that I love to do and keeps my mind engaged and my creativity flowing.  I love putting together outfits, recreating different looks, and finding creative ways to shoot these looks.</p>

<p>I shoot the majority of my photos myself with a tripod and my iPhone X. My preferred social media platform is Instagram (@<a href="https://instagram.com/franstar?igshid=fvapaz3dtg6x">franstar</a>) and I recently discovered Magma as the perfect place to showcase my work in a cool format! I get the majority of my inspiration from Instagram and Pinterest. I’ve recently started shooting a series based on the outfits of NBA players so be sure to check that out. </p>

<h1>How to <strong>maximize</strong> WFH</h1>
<h2>Benefits of working remotely</h2>
<p>One of the perks of working from home is being able to create a personalized work area in a way you may not be able to at the office. It’s all about creating a cozy yet productive space that is perfectly suited to your individual working style. Add elements that promote a calming or inspiring environment, such as fresh flowers, houseplants, task lighting, candles or beautiful crystals. (<a href="https://www.success.com/9-ways-to-stay-productive-when-you-work-from-home/">Success</a>)</p>
<p>Another perk when it comes to WFH is Flexibility. Perhaps you like to exercise on your lunch hour instead of before or after work. Maybe you want to be able to throw a load of laundry in the dryer or unload the dishwasher before hoping on a conference call. There’s no doubt WFH gives you the flexibility to accomplish everything from quick personal errands to weekly household cleaning tasks in the short breaks that often occur throughout the day.</p>

<h2>Building Your New Workspace</h2>
<ul>
  <li>Place yourself in a space where you know you won’t get distracted. If you live with others, make it known to everyone what your work hours are and when your break’s are.</li>
  <li>Don’t work in your living room or anywhere that is too comfortable and will encourage you to stay in one place for too long. </li>
  <li>Invest in supportive furniture that will maximize your workability and take care of your body. Realistically, invest in whatever you need to comfortably and efficiently do your job</li>
</ul>

  <h2>The Little Things Matter Too</h2>
</p>
<ul>
  <li>Create a vision board with goals and aspirations personally and professionally and look at it every day. Working at home should get you closer to those goals.</li>
  <li>Invest in a great pair of earphones with a mic. Noise-canceling features can really help improve the clarity of your phone calls. </li>
  <li>Get dressed! Don’t work in your PJs. Not to get too personal right off the bat, but put some clothes on. It’s tempting, I know, to roll out of bed and blob over to your laptop in your pajamas. Or maybe not even get out of bed in the first place? It’s a trap. If you’re dressed for sleep, it’s going to be a lot harder to get your brain up to a canter, much less a gallop. (In this metaphor your brain is a horse, go with it.) More important, though, if you don’t get up, take a shower, brush your teeth, get dressed—whatever your morning routine entails when you actually do go into the office—you’re breaking the cardinal rule of working from home: Set boundaries. <h1>Time <strong>Management</strong> </h1>
<ul>
  <li>Set real work hours. Regardless of your schedule, be sure to establish set work hours to follow each day and remember to also enforce a hard limit at the end of the day and know when to clock out. At that time, distance yourself from work, so you don’t work nonstop and burnout. </li>
  <li>Stick to your schedule and/or plan. It’s tempting to run the dishwasher while you work or take a break to vacuum, but doing so can interrupt your flow and focus.</li>
  <li>Discover when you are most productive and build your work schedule around your peak productivity periods. For example, are you more creative in the morning? You may spend that time writing or brainstorming ideas for your latest project. The afternoons then could be a more relaxed time spent sitting on the sofa, sifting through emails and completing the rest of your tasks for the workday.</li>
  <li>Stay off social media during work hours. If you love using social media, then make it a habit to shut off social media notifications during the day. Consider even muting your notifications on your phone.</li>
</ul>

<h1><strong>Health</strong> is Wealth</h1>

<ul>
  <li>With human interaction limited to strictly virtual communication for most of us, keeping in touch with family and friends within your work schedule’s boundaries is very necessary. </li>
  <li>Exercise and stretch daily. Exercising daily naturally boosts endorphins, which increases happiness, enjoyment, and interest levels, all of which are important for productivity.Regularly stretching helps you maintain great posture. At a minimum, stretch throughout the day so you don’t get sore or hinder your quality of life.You can also leave yourself motivational sticky notes by your bed, so they are the first thing you see and read in the morning. We recommend exercising in the morning when you have fewer objections and a longer payoff throughout the day. (<a href="https://www.nextiva.com/blog/working-from-home-tips.html">Nextiva</a>)</li>
  <li>Eat healthy meals and snacks. Another work from home reality is that we have full access to the kitchen. So, when it’s time for lunch or a snack break, we are immediately drawn to the usual snacks, such as chips, cookies, or leftover pizza.When we work in an office, we are at the mercy of whatever is available in the cafeteria or whatever lunch we brought from home. However, research has shown that eating fruits and vegetables has a direct link on overall productivity levels. You can also avoid buying unhealthy snacks altogether.   <li>Working short, five-minute breaks into your daily schedule can amplify concentration and productivity. Research has also found that short breaks throughout the day are more beneficial than less frequent, longer breaks</li>

<h1>What <strong>to</strong> do when <strong>you</strong> feel <strong>stuck</strong>?</h1>
<ul>
  <li>Create a reward system as an easy way to help you get things done - even the things you’ve been procrastinating and pushing off.  Although it seems simple, using a basic rewards system will help you get things done and also feel fulfilled.</li>
  <li>Avoid watching TV, especially the News, while working; it sucks up your focus from the purpose of working at home. Instead, stream music that complements your work style.</li>
  <li>With social distancing in full effect, we understand that there aren’t too many places to adventure to in times of the need for inspiration. Still, take a break and simply go on a walk. Leaving the house on occasion can give you a change of scenery, which can help boost creativity and productivity. So get your shoes on, get outside and enjoy that fresh air. A different perspective will also help undo mental blocks and give you a fresh pair of eyes for any tasks you're struggling with.</li>
