Training Programs or Intuitive Fitness? What is the difference? What to choose?

People ask me do I have a training plan. I don’t have any training plan for more than 3 years. I train intuitively, BUT it doesn’t mean that I don’t have a structure.

Is a training program ESSENTIAL?

It depends!

However, if you can easily train intuitively, why are there all this trainings programs/ numbers of reps/ sets/ progression etc?

If you are a beginner/ intermediate amateur (means you don’t have any knowledge in Kinesiology: Anatomy and Biomechanics, and program design: Cardiorespiratory, Strength, and Flexibility) you should have a training plan, because obviously you don’t know what exercises you need to perform to reach your goal, neither what exercises are pointless.

Structure keeps you motivated and focused!

Numbers of exercises and reps give you a clear goal!

Progression every cycle will challenge you!

Finally, the most important, after full cycle (week, months, years etc) you’ll have an Experience how your body responds to actual training plan!

Intuitive training

Right now, my training is intuitive.

Every time I set plan for my workout.

Note: I’ve been working out for 10 years now, and I have Certifications.

BUT! I still have structure, I know what exercises are good, exercises I feel, exercises are needed for my body at this moment.

Since my training is not about any specific body goal, I am free to train how I feel each day.

How long will I follow this style?

Who knows! And who cares?!

Training for me is a lifelong pursuit! And here is a key!

It’s a phycology. After 5-7-10 years workout becomes a part of your daily routine!

This is ESSENTIAL - Train hard no matter what your goal is! That goal is just as important as any other life goals!
